Remembering the Holocaust

A Holocaust survivor and her daughter talk about memory and how future generations will remember the event.

April 25 is Holocaust Remembrance Day, or Yom HaShoah. It is the Jewish commemoration of the Holocaust, set aside to remember the six million Jews who were killed by the Nazis, and to honor the survivors.

The Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas estimates 100 Holocaust survivors live in Minnesota today, as well as many children of survivors.

Cathy Wurzer talked with Dora Zaidenweber, a Holocaust survivor, and her daughter Rosanne.
